Consistency: Is It Just a Buzzword...?

Please, I Beg You, Be Consistent!

Creating a successful brand, business, venture, whatever your goal – depends on a handful of factors but one remains the same.

The need for consistency in order to build an audience.

Why? I’m so glad you asked!

Being consistent does ALL this for you:

  • provides your audience with fresh content

  • helps boost your SEO ranking (for your website or blog)

  • creates a solid reference for predicting future behavior within your social channels

  • establishes your authority within a niche

  • gives you opportunities to build in a wide array of keywords

  • and more

Here are five steps to helping you become consistent with publishing content, no matter what you preferred method is (blog, website, social, etc.):

#1 – Establish Goals

Know what you want to accomplish before you start. This will help you create a path in order to achieve your goals. It will also tell you what adjustments need to be made in order to improve.

I.E. Do you want to blog weekly or monthly? How many times will you mail your list per week? Do you want to post on social daily? How many times? What platforms? GET SPECIFIC with them goals boo!

#2 – Create Content in Advance

It’s really hard to consistently pull brand new ah-mazing content out of your @ss. Plan ahead by creating a content calendar (I can help you with that!) and start writing in advance so that you avoid feeling pressured. Batching your content is THE BEST way to get and stay consistent while knowing that you have a fat stack of content to share! The quality of your work will improve when you have time to edit before publishing, fresh eyes always help!

#3 – Be a Social Butterfly

No wall flowers, please! It’s time to get out there and start chatting. Whether you prefer to be active in Facebook groups or in face-to-face meetings, make it happen. This type of networking will help you to establish yourself as an expert in your niche and grow your audience. (Hint: you can still be shy or soft spoken and be social af, FYI)

#4 – Create Your Space

If you’re constantly distracted by your settings, it’s time to find a new place that will help you maximize your productivity. This may mean setting up a home office or heading out to the local coffee shop and throwing in your ear buds. You have control over your surroundings, so set yourself up for success and create a space that will help you, not hurt you.

#5 – Get $hit Done

Make your detailed to do list and get to work. It helps to not TOTALLY overload your list, but put the important things on there, up at the top, ya feel? Crossing things off the list does more than accomplish a task, it also helps motivate you to keep getting things done! Don’t forget, your time is truly your most valuable asset, so set yourself up to be wildly productive. Stop trying to constantly multitask and just start checking things off the list, one by one.

Here’s the thing, when someone is introduced to your brand or business, they want to know what to expect from you in the future. Consistent behavior either through publishing content, networking, or just delivering projects as promised will help to mold that impression into a positive one and set you up for success in the future. You can do this! I believe in you boo!
